Was trying to figure out a Buffalo cup run in one trade, distinct seller that you’re hopefully buying low at and enough talent scooped to jump into the conversation. Got stuck at Philly for hart/sanheim/tippet. Couldn’t figure out the right return.

The Ducks aren’t trading two picks for a enforcer when they just sign someone like reaves to a 1X1.5

We have young centers coming up. I don't like the idea of trading down at all this year.

Why the hell is everyone throwing away Greenway? I realize he got hurt and missed a handful of games. We’re not talking about Raffi Torres, or even Steve Bernier, who scored only one goal after the trade deadline. I think he’s going to have a fit here and Adams isn’t giving him away just because you don’t like him.

Caps pass. They are set at center and need to keep the 8OA unless it's a top tier top 6 player.

I don't see how this lineup will make the playoffs. That bottom-six is a downgrade when you need Rousek at 3RW paired with another rookie in Savoie.

And, why are they trading a 59pt player in Mitts, who's just coming into his own for picks that come out to a slight move up in the first round and a move from 4th to second round?

He’s was good post-injury. He did a good job keeping his game simple playing with Thompson and Cozens and it showed off his strengths. He chipped and chased more, won those battles in zone, and was a net front presence. He seemed to have let go of trying to do too much and score goals, much like Jost did. Going into next season, if he can be a good penalty killer and be part of a shutdown line in the bottom 6 who will occasionally play up the lineup when needed, the Sabres will be better for it.

Agreed. Caps pass on this I believe. Too many good players to pass up.

But interesting idea for sure.

Ducks could sign someone like Reaves this offseason. Why bother paying?

Trenin scored 17 goals last year and had more points than Krebs this season. Not terrible value but I think you're misreading the type of player he is

Middlestadt isn't worth it to move down 5 spots let alone addd 40oa as well

scored 59 points this year, and the Caps need a good center with Kuz possibly getting traded and Backstrom regressing
