Seattle was 2-0-1 v Colorado in the regular season, so that win wasn't overly surprising.

They were 1-1-1 v Dallas... I haven't dug into the numbers much but Seattle carried the 5v5 play in those games.

There is was nothing clean about that hit. Clear headshot that should have been a 5.

well, Trouba led with the shoulder, elbow tucked in, didn't jump into the hit.
Meier still technically in possession from what I could see and only took the shoulder to his face cus he was leaning way down.
Why wouldn't it be a clean hit?

Exactly, I see nothing about that hit (at least from the one angle I saw, maybe in a different angle it looks worse) that makes it dirty.

Rulebook wise it's a legal hit.

I'd rather question if the rulebook itself is a problem.

Cuz honestly hits like that add very little to the game. There are just way more cons than pros. Worst case scenario, after a hit like that, a player isn't capable of playing a single game anymore.

Problem is how exactly would you remove a hit like that without removing the hitting aspect altogether.

There was plenty of body available to him. He jumped off bench, lined him up and went straight for head. He could have played the body.
