no clearly being a petty criminal in the early 90s before building your entire wealth based on your own talent and reputation is heinous and should not be tolerated. the senators should be purchased by a holding company run by a real estate firm, or some guy who makes all their money in canada/us but their registered address is in barbados. proper owners.

Okay, suit yourself.

But if they want to compete in a division with four original-six teams (BOS, DET, MTL, TOR), two teams without state income taxes (FLA, TBL), and the youngest lineup in league (BUF)….I would think maximizing every dollar will be needed for success.

Sure they won the president’s trophy under him but like 90% of those games were unconvincing, he was being tactically outplayed

Then in the playoffs, there were genuine moments I wondered if he even knew what the **** he was doing.

Does anyone think Paul Maurice is a bad coach? I thought I remember that used to be the narrative in Winnipeg for a time. And Im talking pre-last season, 2021 and before. Now, getting fired or quitting doesn't make you a bad coach. Sometimes locker rooms/situations and a coach aren't compatible anymore. But I recall a lot of people saying Maurice was a bad coach. So what is y'alls opinions on him? Is he a bad coach? Dude's been doing it for nearly 30 years. He's been coaching at the NHL level for longer than the majority of the leagues players have been alive.

He was a drug dealer and was involved in heinous violent crime. You’re actually comparing that with offshore banking? Are you serious? Go take a walk in downtown LA and see what drug dealers like Snoop have done to that city. Look at the human suffering he and others like him have caused. He’s been excused b/c of his wealth and talent. He’s not to be rewarded in a transparent effort to make the sport more appealing to weed smokers.

ruining a team with bad management = drug dealing and gang membership. Good to know.

Maurice has been a pretty meh coach, he wasn’t the only problem in Winnipeg, it’s still an incredibly toxic locker room there and so far with Florida, Maurice hasn’t exactly gotten great results ( except for somehow winning vs Boston of course )

Seattle was 2-0-1 v Colorado in the regular season, so that win wasn't overly surprising.

They were 1-1-1 v Dallas... I haven't dug into the numbers much but Seattle carried the 5v5 play in those games.
