That’s one way to kill the whole depth of the NYR. No thanks

These are absolutely wild.

Is it possible that you have no idea who any of these players are?

I’m curious we won’t have cap space to get another d man and middle six center if we added Pasta. Personally I don’t think Boston does it, but it makes our depth charts even harder to fill out.

Buffalo obviously doesn’t do that.

Quinn is basically untouchable for Buffalo
ZERO CHANCE the Sabres do that

We had Ullmark, remember?
Just bc he won the Vezina (with an all-time great team in front of him), it doesn’t mean he’s one of the best goalies in the league- We know exactly what he is. And we aren’t gonna give u that type of value for him. Just isn’t gonna happen

I feel that Buffalo trading Quinn has a next to 0% chance. Carlo trade is way too light, a top 4 RD with term costs a 1st + a good prospect at least. Don’t know how NYR would be able to afford Pasta, and not sure Detroit would do that, they seem pretty high on soderblom and I’m not sure if they’d be able to re sign Marchand with Seider and Raymond extensions coming up.

Don't see us having interest in Marchand at all with his age and contract status. I'm sure a contender would give up a nice little package for him though.
Detroit would probably offer more for Carlo though.

Sabres and Rangers say no....But no way Bruins trade four years of Carlo for so little.

Congrats. This is the on of the worst AGM’s I’ve seen.

Older players and higher priced players locked into long term deals are generally not traded. I’m OK keeping Pasta, Marchand, and. Carlo.

I do anticipate at some time they will trade Ullmark and his contract expiration timing will be a deterrent to getting a top package for him. That said, If UPL would have played behind that defense (the Buffalo one from a few years ago) vs his current one, I think he could legally change his last name to Tunrstile and no one would talk him out of it

I find it hilarious that you think we would give up our future #1 Center, our future Trouba 2.0, and a franchise legend (who's number will be in the rafters) for a 27 year old winger. Pastrnak is fantastic but no. And a 1st round pick on top of all that?

I get it, you don’t want to give up the young talent. Maybe the first is a bit much but that’s what it would cost for Pasta. A lot of assets to give up but your D is still top notch, your goalie is arguably top 3 in the league and with an addition like Pasta to the offence, I don’t see how your not favourites to win the cup for the next 3 years. IMO

and with still 8 pending UFA players not traded....

I may be crazy, but I believe a rebuild is done best by trading away your UFA rentals for futures.

We’d have no cap to fill out our middle six. We’d be extremely top heavy though and likely eliminated early every year.

Cap is going up and you say goodbye to Goodrow. If this team didn’t win at least two rounds for the next 3 seasons, I’d dance in the street with a Habs jersey on. 🤢

Yeah not when you’ve got to pay Miller, Lindgren, Shesty, Laf and Kakko. It doesn’t work.
