Impressions of Greene from the BU game?
He had an awful game. And he is kind of a drifter. Seems to set himself up to be an "option" instead of battling and/or creating his own chances. Got the puck taken off his stick a lot. Seems trustworthy on the PK, even if he was on the ice for quite a few goals against. I think moving Quinn Hutson to Celebrini's line is a mistake. Greenie and Hutson had great chemistry last year, and now they just stuck Greene with a couple guys that aren't very impressive, IMO. So that could have something to do with it. Also, I think BU is very much missing Vlasic and Commesso. Their defense is lacking size, physicality and defensive responsibility. Lots of small or average height guys that like to play offense, and the goalies are just ok but probably won't play hockey outside of college. Although, BU's guy did make some pretty nice saves at certain points, overall, he let way too many in.
I was not expecting that at all, though. UNH has just been mediocre for so long and couldn't recruit to save their lives, but that all seems to be changing. To be fair, UNH is much improved and on their way up. That winters kid is too old for the draft now, but he is gonna get a contract out of college for sure. Muszelik is Muszelik, awesome goalie that is only gonna get better for UNH. I actually ended up sitting next to UNH's blogger and chatting with him a bunch. He said they changed to an NHL regulation sized rink last year and have approved funding and plans for an expansion of their athletic facilities and are hoping to attract even more high end talent to that school. Which they absolutely should. They are right smack dab in the middle of hockey east, not many better places to be for NCAA hockey.
Edit: did I tell you I was going to that game or did you just figure I did? haha
