Horrific trade for Boston. No way Forbort is worth a 2nd. Colorado wouldn't do that trade even if they got a 1st. Toronto gives up no actual value for Zadorov at all. Hanifin and Lindholm combined should get Calgary way more, especially if they come with extensions.

Everyone overvalues everyone. I believe the Flames have very moveable contracts except for Huberdeau. BOS should go get Kadri or Lindholm, Edmonton needs a goalie, and Colorado doesn't but could upgrade for the next 3 years with Markstrom... Toews needs a new contract, and you don't lose by stopping more pucks.

Toews just extended for 7.25m x 7 years. That's how good he is. He is a star dman. Tanev is a very good defensive dman but he is no star and he is older.

Calgary would need to LOVE Timmins to make that trade for Zadorov. Gambrell has zero value, Klingberg is negative value right now but he would need to be added for cap reasons. 4th round pick vs 5th round pick almost negate each other. So all Calgary is getting of value is Timmins. I don't see it happening.
