Additional Details:
Per Freidman: Hawks have been pestering the Canucks about Kuzmenko most of the season, even back when Beauvillier was dealt. Belief is the Canucks want to keep Kuzmenko but may be willing to trade him out to bring in a guy like Lindholm or Guentzel, but the value has to be there for Vancouver. Expect an over pay by Chicago to get there guy, an offensive guy short term who can play with Bedard.

Might need to throw in a roster player and/or swap Lekkerimaki for Raty before Columbus even considers that trade for Jiricek

Uhhhh... Okay? 1st + Aman + Raty for Jiricek is a no brainer.

Not even close to what you would need to get Jiricek and Kuz is not worth near that much

Your assessment of the Chicago trade is a joke. Chicago hasn't been pestering Vancouver one bit. Have they had talks? According to Friedman they have. Is Kuzmenko "their guy"? Not for that price. While every other Vancouver fan values him at a 2nd round pick, you seem to think Chicago values him much more. Repeat after me. This will not happen.

I trust Freidman more than a Hawks fan. He's suggesting the Hawks are willing to move prominent draft capital to get it done.

As a Hawks fan, I'm not really interested in anything higher than a late 3rd. We can sign a Jordan Eberle as a UFA (for example) and not lose any draft capital. He's a decent player. I'd do a 4th, but you can just keep him too. I'm just as happy not trading for him as I am trading for him for a 4th round pick.

With him blasting CBJ management I have to think he’s gone and with teams knowing this they won’t get the same return. As a sharks fan I would offer up PIT 1st, Bordeleau, and Havelid/Cagnioni. Or all 3 to get Jiricek!

The rest of the deals seem reasonable and fair.

Don't shoot the messenger. Friedman's one of the most respected insiders in the game. If he's saying it than it's being discussed.

Thanks for the offer and laugh but you can't trade a player back until a year has passed.

I think the 1st for him is the min. He’s a good player having a bad year but scored 39 goals last year.

Being discussed is a LONG WAY away from pestering.

We can't move a top-pair D-man without getting one back. Unless you're keen on sending Hughes our way...no. (Not one for one, obviously. Org need is just star-level talent at D).

He stamp his feet and whine through his agent to the media all he wants. He's got a legit point that he want to play and the org is jerking him around, and the CBJ front office has got to go, but he hasn't asked for a trade, and the team doesn't have to honor it even if he did (see Boston and DeBrusk). He has no leverage. He's on his ELC, so he can't hold out like Gaulthier did. It's CBJ org, sit out like a petulant child, or head to the KHL for him. There is literally no pressure to take a pile of garbage for him. He isn't even the first young CBJ player to complain about playing time and be told to earn it this season--Chinakhov did the same thing, and wouldn't you know, he has. Chinakhov's been the best forward on the team for months now and has rescinded his trade request.

A rebuilding team that is at least 2 years away from being a bubble team doesn't trade a 1st+ for someone that doesn't fit the timeline.

He can blast management all he wants, we are right there with him. They're gone sooner rather than later, probably before he can even get called back up again.

He's not going anywhere, even if he demands a trade. If the Sharks (or any team) wants him, It's a top-5 pick, your top prospect, or more depending on what they have to offer.

He said Chicago has been pestering Vancouver throughout the season for Kuzmenko, mentioned Chicago's draft capital and that they've a lot and they'd be willing to part with early picks to get an offensive player to get their offense going. They want someone who's signed short term (2-3 years) who can help Bedard produce and take some of the offensive pressure off of him. Kuzmenko fits all of that. For the Canucks, he said they've been denying Chicago's requests so far, but Vancouver could do it if it meant allowing them to bring in a guy like Lindholm or Guentzel.

You would be lucky to get the return Philly got with Gauthier IMO, not a top 5 plus a top prospect. That’s laughable.
