Leafs looking NICE
If NSH would work with a deal surrounding this I'd love for that to be done (don't follow nsh but fabbro is supposed to be a defensively solid top4 young dman with potential offensive upside right?). Also with regards to the cap space, nice

Who is saying no? I could be totally out to lunch, but think this trade holds merit for both sides.
I sure like to see the other 29 teams and their offer for Jones. Seems like only the Leafs have to traded 90 point player for two years of Jones. Think Jones is really going that much difference to the Leaf to the expense of trading Marner ?

If thats their right side, they arent going far. Package Dermott, one of Johnsson/Kerfoot + Bracco/pick for defensive RHD

Opening Night-Flat Cap-No CBO
In theory these deals make some sense, but there’s two problems.
1) Schneider hasn’t even been at a decent backup level of play for a couple years. I’m afraid he may be done as an NHL’er. Given that I’d rather keep Eriksson and try to sign a decent backup.
2) Demers blocked a trade to the Canucks when he was with FLA, I think because of the tax situation. If he gets shipped to VAN and is unhappy about it it could be bad for team morale. Otherwise I like that player swap though.

Great work. I see all these trades going through. NJD takes a chance on Eriksson for someone they don't use, Ottawa reaches the floor and advance a round to take on a "bad" contract and the Coyotes swap a dman for a forward which is logic for them. Love it

- Don't see how/why Fleury waives his NTC to come to OTT.
- James Neal wasn't that bad last year to package their 2019 8th overall pick with him for a 6th rounder. Maybe they make a move to trade him when RNH needs his new deal.
- Marc Staal would need to waive his NMC, and Lias Andersson progress has been disappointing so I think that's an overpayment from OTT with Staal's contract.</div></div>

That’s gonna be a no from the Habs, and frankly I don’t see any team wanting to help Tampa. Killorn may have value but will be hard to trade even with a modified NTC. Teams are going to want a young piece as well. Mtl won’t do this trade mostly because Fleury is our most NHL ready RHD if Juulsen isn’t going to be able to continue his career:

I think the Leafs are giving more value there, but it fits a need and clears cap for them. I'd consider it. Maybe Dermott + Johnsson + 4th for Weegar + 2nd

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>j_cash08</b></div><div>I don't really see where Studnika will fit into the lineup at this point. Bergeron, Krejci, Coyle down the middle and I don't really see the purpose of moving him to the wing unless it's a necessity. So, unless Kase really doesn't play well, and gets moved again I don't see the point. The B's look better with Coyle at center rather than on the wing. I would much rather him playing 18 mins a night in Providence than 10 in Boston. My guess is that he'll start next season in Providence, and will eventually work his way into the lineup due to injury's and what not.</div></div>
I think we could see Coyle shift back to RW next year. If you look at the advanced numbers, Krejci has some of his best metrics playing with Coyle. They could also move him to 3RW along side Studnicka. That way Stud's as an on ice mentor
Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
DeBrusk - Krejci - Coyle
Bjork - Studnicka - Kase
Ritchie - Kuraly - Wagner

Opening Night Contender- Hall -NJD Blockbuster- Solid D core
I don’t see the need to do the NJD trade. I’d rather re-sign DeMelo, he’s looked very good with Morrissey, only 1 year older than Severson, and will probably be slightly cheaper as well. Harkins can take over at 3LW, he’s been good this season. With Ehlers being kept. Hall isn’t signed.
I’m fine with a Roslovic swap for a defensemen, but I think he can get someone better in return. Dylan Samberg will also be ready next season, he should be signed to his ELC and play over Sbisa.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ek_65</b></div><div>Agreed, definitely tough tough to come up with a number right now, really depends on how he produces next year. Marner and Rantanen both put up over 94 point paces before they signed, would not surpise me if Petey can fetch up to $10.5M on a max term deal. Many have said Marner's deal is an outlier, would probably be best to compare Petey's production to Drasaitl, Aho, Point, Barzal. Any other Elite centres come to mind?</div></div>
Think a guy that'll give us some idea is Barzal. If he gets term, I'd say you could add a mil or so onto and have a better idea of what Petey will get.

Better yet. That photo of Treliving & Bowman together on a fishing trip in a decorative gold frame displayed on the mantel in his office is quickly seize and forcibly thrown
onto the floor.
From a corridor, an employee notices Treliving feverishly jumping up and down. He stops. Bends down, and carefully removes the photo from the debris of shattered glass and twisted metal. He reaches into his pocket. And pulls out a lighter. And sets the photo ablaze, j/k

Cirelli Idea
Why bother trading Dumba for him. Wild could offersheet Cirelli right out of Bolts price range and then give up a roughly 2021 1st and 3rd.
Wild could easily get a 2021 1st and 3rd plus for Dumba.
I have a similar idea going to get Dylan Strome from Chicago, but the Chicago guys assure me salary cap won't be a problem.

Yeah I don't get why any player on the Tampa roster (with a NMC or NTC) would accept any trade. I'd be pissed getting traded off a good team (with Stanley cup aspirations) to any team. That's just the game aspect of not wanting to leave.
The financial aspect is just as maddening because these players signed there to enjoy the no tax benefits of playing in Tampa.
