So do i only post player rights signings for guys whose rights expire June 1 this year, or can i sign unsigned guys now, even if their rights don't expire until next year or later?

This probably means he signed overseas.

Just hold off on them bud. ONLY sign the guys whose rights expire June 1, 2018.
As a general rule people usually just match whatever their ELC is in real life to avoid confusion.
As for the rest, it makes no sense to sign them now and use up a contract spot when you don't need to yet.

I noticed that every prospect that is going to expire is listed as "indefinite" now, so its probably just something cap does. Ill sign him anyways
