When people went in the streets to protest, they were told to protest in a more peaceful manner. Now that they are protesting in a more peaceful manner, everyone is up the butt about it. Its good. Stick up for what you believe in

I’m not surprised as they’re just following suit with every other major sports league. I don’t think that anyone deserves to be shot when they are innocent, but I do know that if you do thinks like reach in your car when the cops have their gun on you, that you shouldn’t reach into your car. I see both sides, my uncle is black and I get their perspective, they’ve suffered from racism for a long time, and other races do too. I support ending racism and police brutality, I support them doing it peacefully. But I think that they’d have a more supported and wide spread message if they played and took time before the game to do something like Matt Dumba did for the whole world to see over boycotting games. I also get that they want to stand in solidarity and support this whole movement by boycotting games. Idk I think they can support their cause and get their message out while playing, but I get why they don’t want to play.

Sports and politics have been intertwined since the beginning of sports. Time to grow up.

From what I’ve read , it seems like this is a reactionary move, a moral panic I guess (from not cancelling yesterday’s games).I really don’t care either way, if the league/players think this is going to make a change , then it is what it is.

The NBA cancelled yesterday’s games and there were rumors that they wanted to cancel the rest of the playoffs, but money talks...

Gosh, I'd love to thank the mods for allowing all these put upon useful idiots a place to circle jerk their ignorance and bigotry for everybody!

After all, isn't that what CapFriendly AGMs are all about?

How about when the owners take a political position and lock the players out...everyone is ok with that?

Best they stay separate.

I would prefer a minute of silence than that those that want take a knee during the anthem. Not playing accomplishes nothing, the visual of players supporting BLM more apparent. Or do what JT Brown did several years ago. Raise a fist during the anthem, he consulted local police and that was their solution.

Jacob Blake nor george floyd shouldnt be the martyr of this cause as they were not the harmless individuals they are being made out to be, but the other victims such as Breona Taylor and Elijah McClain deserve justice. I also dont agree with the mass riotings and lootings going on, but this type of protesting and striking is literally harmless. The only people who lose ratings/money over this are the NBA/NHL execs that already have a ****load of money and can actually do something to bring change in their communities. That's what its about. I'd rather have them refuse to play games than burn cars and buildings in my neighborhood

I just hope all the support doesn't add up to eventually getting the police defunded.
