Mackinnon. Cheap team friendly contract. Super skilled. 2nd best player in the world and only half the price of the 1st best. And Canadian, huge bonus

Kucherov hardest worker on a very committed team. Doesn’t seek spotlight. Has an underrated 2 way game and nasty streak. Stanley Cup Champion. Only Stanley Cup Champion in the group.

Kucherov
Pros - Potentially the most skilled out of the bunch (pretty close between him and McDavid), only one to win a Cup, I believe he has had the highest scoring season out of the 3 (128 in 2018-19)
Cons - Oldest, plays winger which is less valuable than center, plays on the best team so wouldn't necessarily be as good without help

McDavid
Pros - Consensus best player in the league, youngest, fastest, probably the most dominant out of the three
Cons - Biggest contract making it harder to build a team around him, no playoff success

MacKinnon
Pros - Great contract, probably the best two-way player in the league
Cons - Maybe lack of playoff success although they'll probably win the cup this year, also plays on a stacked team and benefits from great linemates

This is al you need to see. Such an easy choice. He’s the second best player in the league on an amazing contract that provides a lot of flexibility to build the rest of your roster around.

Probably Mackinnon; he's the most complete of the three imo, despite McDavid probably being more offensively gifted. Really can't go wrong with either, although I'd avoid Kuch, purely because he's a winger and older than both.

I'd say contract certainty and generational talent are the biggest pros for McDavid. Contract value and flexibility in team construction are the biggest pros for MacKinnon. The biggest con for Kucherov would probably be position - historically you can cite a top-performing 1C as the biggest factor for just about every cup-winning team, and it's the toughest position to fill - look how many are drafted by their own team.

Not many pros for Kucherov compared to the others. Better choices include but are not limited to Matthews, Eichel, Point, Jack Hughes, Petterson, Etc.


Cons for MacKinnon where erased last year...he was on record breaking pases and blowing up the league, only game he didn't have points they lost and that was the one that knocked them out. Con for MacKinnon is he only has 3 years left on and UFA contract.

Brayden Point was probably more important than Kuch but I see your point. Overall, 18 Conn Smythe winners were centers, 9 were wingers.

Another consideration for contract value would have to be the age range of the contract, that's where I'd dock Kuch, even if though he does have the extra year on McDavid.

Kuch is the easy elimination. Either of the other two can have a solid argument built around them.
