Dear lord that's a lot of prospect/draft capital for two guys on expiring contracts. I'd give you Rakell, who is better than both of these guys and has term, for either one of these deals.

Even Leafs haters wouldn't think the Leafs would give nearly so much for those two rentals, and even questionable if they make the Leafs better this year, and certainly Leafs aren't giving cup their futures.

What the hell are either of these trades? Were you dropped as a child or something? Give up a Top 6 capable player in Kerfoot, your best prospect by a long shot, and a high pick for a veteran rental? And as if that wasn't bad enough you want to give up our 2 best defensive prospects AND a first for ANOTHER veteran rental? Good lord I've lost faith in this fanbase.

These look like the kind of trades fans of other teams who dramatically undervalue everything Toronto because it's Toronto expect Leaf fans to offer for them in order for them to accept. These are brutally bad.

Who knows how many Stanley Cup winners trade 3 of their best prospects, 2 of their most valuable draft picks, and a roster player for 2 mediocre rentals?
