I'm positive they'll do their utmost to get the guy healthy before the playoffs since by that point he's gone full year without any hockey. And with a grand total of zero playoff games he's basically a rookie in there, so it'd be ideal if he had some feel on the ice before the real games start. And that's why I assume they'll be doing some cap gymnastics before the deadline.


eichel was still skating and practicing and stuff just never cleared for contact. kucherov was ready in march last year he missed about 8 months of hockey and was totally fine when he came back.

i was thinking he'd be that one freshman that tags along and tries to do everything the older friends do, since he's kinda new and not very competent compared to everyone else.

Kevin Weekes' reputation could be in deep trouble, with both the Calgary offer and the Torts rumor being shot down in a week by other reporters with more standing.

He definetely has had a ton of notches taken off his credibility that's for sure. Now tho, we know to take what he says with a grain of salt.

How. They aren't a favorite to win the cup and they have no cap space to improve the team. They actually have to trade decent depth for more shots in the dark. How many Thornton's are there to 1 Spezza in terms of gambles paying off?


IMO next year will be the start of the Mariles having legit options to battle for a roster spot.

Rubins
Menell
Could all be in contention for a spot. Making next years team quicker and IMO a lot more skillful. It will be trying to re-sign Campbell that will be difficult. It's possible but trades will need to happen.
