I mean, as @justaBoss said, the fact that we even thought it was real really says something about how bad of a sports writer Craig Button is.

Jackets win in a shootout over the Nashville Predators.

-FINALLY. It felt like FOREVER since there was hockey last. Good to see we started back up on a high note.

-I kept this ever-growing suspicion in my mind that Lars was going to send down Chinakhov when Laine came back and stayed on the Danforth train. I guess i was wrong, as he decided to send down neither of them. Hmmm...

-PATTY'S BACK! And he looked really good, scoring a goal!

-I'll be honest, i stopped watching the game live when we gave up two goals in 45 seconds during the 2nd period (that second goal really shouldn't have happened, since Borowiecki cross-checked Bemstrom in the back, and the refs somehow missed it). I thought it was just gonna get uglier and uglier from there. One of those times where i'm actually glad to be wrong.

-Alexandre Texier is showing us that he can be a top 6 option if he really needs to be. scoring a goal in the 3rd period and sending us home in the shootout. We love you, Tex.

Bjorkstrand and Robinson are in Covid protocol but once they come back, you gotta think at least Bemstrom gets sent down

With all these capacity restrictions I think the NHL is eventually gonna tell every Canadian team to come play in the US and when people ask why this will be the NHL's response

As lower capacity means money loss and the NHL does not want that which often is the main reason most of the Canadian home games are cancelled.
