I figured, only way I think he would be traded is if the Habs go for a full fire sale and acquire as many prospects and picks as possible, even then he’d be one of the last to go in that circumstance along with Caufield.
You would not like the price it'd take to get Miller out of NY. 2nd season & has been a top 4 Dman pretty much since he started
Yeah he’s pretty damn good, I’m only asking because I think it would be smart for our GM to try and trade for a young LD on an ELC or bridge deal that can contribute right away.
I remember when he was the second coming of Shea Weber or something like that
Romanov was never compared to Weber but he’s been one of our best dman this year and he is 22 yo. He isn’t for sale but if you offer Boldy than sure otherwise you don’t have any interesting piece (ok Wallstedt)

Yeah I don’t think either Boldy or Wallstedt are being moved, could probably find someone that produces the same as Romanov in FA.
1. Not available
2. Maybe available (price unknown, check with Jets fans on both)
3. Don't even know who he is lol
4. Not available
5. Possible but IDK for sure since the Pens are likely to be starting a rebuild in the next couple of years and are already looking for D help.
6. Probably not for sale.
He's 22 and this year hasn't been good for many players for MTL. You can't give up on a d-man too quickly cause it could easily backfire. I don't know if he's the next Weber but if he can be a solid second pairing guy then that should be fine for the Canadiens future imo.
Cant speak for the other teams players but got to think Romanov is only available if a similar young player is coming back or a high draft pick. He's not being shopped but for the right offer, anyone's available.

I agree but Montreal fans value him a lot more than a 2nd pairing guy lol.

Could be said about anyone on the team, if an offer you can't refuse is on the table anyone would go.

Yeah, Romanov's been one of our better D and is really coming into his own, we're not moving him unless the deal is very much worth it

TRUE! I'm a Habs fan too but I think a high end second pairing guy is a reasonable expectation. Maybe I'm wrong but I'd say Guhle might have better odds of becoming 1LD for this team than Romy down the line.

Hence the "for the right price, anyone's available" comment.
I just hate when people say someone is not available. I would trade Caulfield or Suzuki right now if the trade made sense for the Habs. The idea that players are untradeable is pointless. GM's only say it to either use as negotiation tactic to get a higher price or to say it in the media to give the player and agent confidence/satisfaction.
