Fair. But if the Lightning do win the Cup, then the pay is worth it.

even if they dont its worth it. you get a guy for 2+ years thats potentially a top 6 forward

Or if anyone in the Blackhawks organization does anything illegal, the picks get sent to the Devils

It doesn't have to be this year specifically (though hopefully it is), but they do have to to justify giving away that much. There's no doubt that it's a bargain contract though.

It took 10 minutes for my post to load, could’ve been 1st, but now I’m like 20th.

It’s the 15th big event that I missed, I’m sure God is trolling me. I could’ve had 100 likes more if I was there when it happened.

hagel at 1.5m for 2 more years performing at a 60% ppg rate. if he keeps that up or exceeds thats one of the biggest bargain contracts in the nhl nevermind that hes a 20 goal scorer...
lehky on the other hand is scoring at a 39% ppg rate and doesnt have a contract next year. is 3 years older and never been a 20 goal scorer. until it happens im going to be very adamant about the habs not being able to get a 1st for lehky. massive massive overpay if that happens.

and what if hagel doesn't keep scoring at that pace? also your math is off. lehky is scoring at .49 ppg and is pretty solid defensively. while he doesn't have a contract he's still only an rfa.

3 1sts for Anderson? Not joking.
Also, that toffoli trade is looking TERRIBLE
Should've been 1st + Pelltier
If only hughes waited

It looks like Travis dermott will be traded in the next few days, I wonder if that’s something lou will look into. Didn’t he draft Dermott?

no im talking last 2 years. same time frame as hagel. lehky has 41 in 104 hagel has 61 in 107. thats a 20 point difference... almost as much as lehky has in total this year... still an rfa who gets somewhere in the 3-4 range on his next contract. in that same timeframe. hagel is making over half of that, outscoring him, and has additional rfa years at the end of his deal.

Look at the linemates. Having Kane over Armia certainly helps. Hagel got a haul because of the contract, but Lehkonen is not to far off in terms of player.

According to my sources, habs and caps have been talking Lehkonen trade.
It's believed to be centered around 2 draft picks and a defensive prospect.
Stay tuned.

lehky isnt a top 6 forward. while i think hagel is. idc about linemates, ive seen enough of both players to opinionate that hagel will continue being a top 6 forward at 1.5m for 2+ years while lehkonen is having his best career year and he wont ever match this production again. good defensive player.

now does hagel keep up his 22.3% shot percentage no chance. there will definitely be regression in his stats. however i also dont think lehkonen keeps up his 12% shooting clip himself.
