Does anyone have any trade ideas on what the Devils can bring in for that pick? Right now Im imaging a guy like Fiala caliber but hopefully there is a goalie the Devils could trade for with that value


So in this draft so far I have heard 3 high picks will be available from 3 separate teams

First time I have seen that in a while.

As for what you could get

Almost anyone within reason. All depends who is interested and what is offered.

Burakovsky - Wright - Anderson

Fleury - Samsonov

This is assuming Price goes on LTIR.

Habs trade Gallagher + Harris + Clague for Gostisbehere + Soderstrom
Habs trade Hoffman + Struble + Montembeault + 4th for Samsonov
Habs draft Wright 1OA

Philadelphia was second one

I forgot who the third was but I remember there were 2 others before NJ said they would potentially trade

Not surprised with Philly after all they traded the 13OA for Ristolinen

I got a feeling if Fletcher cant get Gaudreau hes gonna try and trade the pick for someone like Fiala or a good top 6 Wing.

Nah, they should get Zdeno Chara to play with Risto, then have Myers play with Jamie Oleksiak ( he's 6'7 per CF, didn't know he was that tall )

Verhaeghe is still one of the most underrated forwards in the league. He reminds me of a young Jordan Eberle

I think Boeser + 15th for Zacha + 5OA is more interesting but not sure if I would even do that

Fiala is probably the only guy available worth that high of a pick (and I’ve done a lot of looking because the Sens need a high end winger too lol, and are in a similar range with projected 7oa). Guys like Konecny, Boeser, Garland, etc. might get moved, but probably not for that much (unless it was like 5oa + prospect for player + later 1st). Not sure there’s a goalie out there worth that, most teams with an elite young goalie tend to hold onto them. You might be able to get Varlamov for cheap if you still believe in Blackwood, or buy low on Samsonov and have him and Blackwood fight it out.


What about Saros/Askarov?

For the trade no despite the deep draft potential

But as for the 3 teams I believe they were NJ, Philly and you I believe named the third one (Ottawa).
