Love the player, hate the Dcore in front of him. He wont be in good conditions to put good numbers for his next deal.

He'll be their most expensive goalie this year, but not next year. Jones is getting $2,916,667 next year to not play for them.

What makes you say that? He had 0.912 SV percentage and a 2.87 gaa

Both of those are better than any Habs goaltender with 5+ GP last year and the save percentage is better than any Habs goaltender in the last TWO years with 5+ GP

(Note that includes price).

Look at the picture. He was league average in 21/22. He's pulling it down by his rookie year...

There aren't many dumber comments on Capfriendly. And that's saying something.

Well guess we'll see how he does. You don't have to agree with me, but I posted his analytics and they agree with me. Feel free to counter with an actual thoughtful response. Read the forum rules also.

If you can’t take criticism, don’t dish it out.

Posting one player card with one type of advanced analytics that happens to agree with you does not make you right.

Kaapo was the best sharks goalie down the stretch and the team infront of him played worse when he was in.

If he doesn’t do well with the Sharks he’ll do well somewhere. He’s a great goalie. Watched the games - saw the potential.

I'm all for taking CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, difference between countering my opinion & saying my opinion is one of the worse you've ever seen is a big difference. No different than what you're doing in this comment.

Well let me go dig up some advanced stats to reply with because you don't seem to like original commenting. Posting someone else's work is more your speed. Good, good.

Yes. Posting another view that has statistics to back up my opinion usually works better than just my opinion... see how that works? your turn now

Not even sure why you posted this? Even those analytics are awful (I use Jfresh because it's easier to read).

What do you mean? It shows he was a below average goalie 2 years ago and above average this year? That's not terrible for a young player

I mean how would you say your post is more fair then what I posted? Really what you’re saying is “mines right yours is wrong”. That’s a pretty naive look.

Tho I say this is pointless especially adv stats are pointless to argue over a because the kids literally got 68 NHL games… Except I can argue I watched the games when it comes down to it and the end of the day. Whole games not NHL clips of goals or the highlights lol.

He criticized me because i didn’t throw up any charts for him to analyze, then you did and he says they’re bad and too hard to read. This guy wants really bad to be ‘right’ and any who oppose him are wrong.
