Think back to lindholm and stone. The news of an extension came out when the player was still on the plane.

But this is standard for a rental. 1st, a “meh,” roster player for cap purposes, and a good, but not great prospect.

If this is "the world" then we got what we wanted. This is a pretty reasonable return and its almost on par with most of what we have been asking for. The one or two left field big asks don't constitute what the realistic return is.

Based on the ACGMs and trades canucks fans were posting, they should be miserable with this return. I’m guessing they’ll all lie to themselves and have beauvillier being a point per game player and raty a future hall of famer by nights end.

Last night I made a trade of Panik + Wahlstrom + 1st for Bo 50% retained. I'd say this trade is even better than that one for us.

Obviously some morons posted some bad offers but by in large this return is actually more than I expected. I battled people constantly that said he wouldn't get a 1st, b prospect, 3rd level value. This blows that out of the water.

Brock nelson is my new offseason trade target, islanders will extend Bo and then move him.

Is it though? I’m not sure beauvillier has positive value, and is raty more than a B prospect? That’s debatable

Beauvillier is an underwhelming piece but this deal tells me Canucks ownership did not want to retain on Bo.

The pick is also intriguing because I don't see how NYI re-signs Bo and if the pick rolls into 2024, it has potential to be a top 3-5. NYI is an aging group.

It also tells me Van ownership is okay with a couple years vs immediately trying to win next year and that is refreshing. The timing also speaks to tank asap.

This is a pretty darn good return. Especially since that pick is likely top 15 as the Isles aren't even a playoff team. Better than getting something like the 32nd overall pick from Boston.
