I couldn't watch last night, did they run out Romanov-Mayfield as a pair again? because I don't think either of those guys is as bad as the chart up there but putting them together is just so stupid to me - they both suck at getting the puck up the ice, it's not what they do, why do you keep putting them together????

Together they are as bad as that chart over a large sample - for the reasons you stated lol. They spend most of their ice time scrambling in the Dzone.

this is the thing that turned me on Lane (i usually try not to be the "fire the coach!!!!111" guy) - but c'mon dude, you can't put two guys like that together, this is like hockey common sense - your D pairs at 5v5 should complement each other! You wanna run out Romanov-Mayfield on the PK, be my guest, but those two archetypes are redundant at 5v5.
