Even though the Leafs lost, it’s still has been a good year for them.

There’s many steps to success, they overcame the first round and won a game in the 2nd. Maybe next year or in the future it’ll be more, time will tell.

I'm honestly not upset about this loss. The reason they lost was because the guys they're paying 11 million dollars a year to didn't show up. Matthews and Tavares had 0 goals in 5 games versus Florida.

Believe something needs to be done this offseason to address that. Hoping they retain Dubas at least; while I think his early tenure is the reason the situation the team is in, he's done a remarkable job of navigating around the salary cap and keeping the team competitive. Secondary second was not an issue, neither was goaltending.

They said East is going to be deadly after the deadline.

Rn the teams we have left are Florida and Carolina.

Their deadline acquisitions in total
- Shayne Gostisbehere

Sometimes it probably is better to stick what you have and build their chemistry to max level.

Also, neither team has yet lost a game in OT. Not against BOS and NYI, not against TOR or NJ.

Realistically I think you need to trade one of them. A difficult decision because they both have pros and cons.

You can't trade Matthews and it's gonna be really difficult to move Tavares. How do you win a Marner or Nylander trade?
