▐▐▐ Mr. Kyle Dubas's Pittsburgh Penguins Plan ▐▐▐

1} - Get Rid of all Hextall / Burke People & Players except Rakell

2} - Beg Jeff Carter to fake an Injury, like Hossa or Seabrook & go onto the LTIR for year or accept Trade to a Beer league

3} - Build around 87-58-71-59-67 (as long as 59 wants to Re-Sign at a fair price)

4A} - Re-Sign Jarry to a 1-2yr Prove it type Deal (ONLY if healthy & No Degenerative Issues in Back or Hip)
4B} - If Jarry Re-Signed MUST Trade for or Sign a Legit 1B Goalie

5A} - Use 1st Rdr #14 Overall & Target a Young 21yr - 25yr old 3rd Line Center w/ 2C Upside
5B} - Need to start Thinking about No More Back 2 Back Games for 87 & 71 & keeping them at 65-72 Games played

6A} - Move Petry & Rutta & then Target 2- Young 24-27yr old RHD to play behind Letang
6B} - Not sure we need to cut Letang's GP but keeping him at 20min per gm instead of 25-27min per gm

7} - Trade for a Young Dynamic 24-26yr old Top 6 Rwer w/ Speed, Skill, & Upside to give Sid some young legs on his wing & can play on Left wall on PP #1

8} - Sign or Trade for a Top 4 / #2 LHD behind MP28

9} - Take a Big Shot & Trade / Offer Sheet a Young 22-25yr old RFA LW/C w/ Elite Speed for Geno's LW & can take some Center Defensive responsibilities from him

10} - Trade for or Sign 2-3 Players w/ some Size & at least 2 Players that can be physical & Hit, Instead of the standard Pens Hug/Hit

11A} - Have 4 Legit NHL caliber Lines (13-14 Forwards) & 3 Legit NHL D-Pairings (8-9 D-men) & 2 Real Goalies
11B} - DEPTH = Have 3-5 NHL Depth Forwards / 2-3 NHL able Depth D-men / 1-2 NHL able Depth Goalies in AHL & make WBS much better

Agreed with steps 1-8, that's exactly what I'd try to do more or less, whether it's possible or not is a different question lol

The problem with your idea, the other teams have to agree to the trades too, right now everyone declines, all of these trades are way in the favor of Pittsburgh.

CAR fans are gonna have fun with this one haha.

I think the team looks pretty good - obviously most of this stuff isn't happening though

That's a very easy no for the blues. We send you a #4 D for 2 AHL scrubs and we have to add picks? Lol this is a very very bad deal for the blues

Car and dal don’t have a reason to move those pieces… But the eleventy billion step plan is legit and Dubas even specifically mentioned bringing in younger players so these types of moves at least are probably what we will see

Rust is a downgrade from Necas
DeSmith is a downgrade from Kochetkov.
Smith for Coghlan is probably a wash

This isn't remotely close.
