Description
The addition of Jason Dickson drastically changes the look of the bottom 6. The addition of Sam Poulin brings a level of youth and grit that the team desperately lacks in. Owen Pickering is nhl ready. He has shown dominance at both ends of the ice and who better to pair him with than veteran star Kris Letang on the top 4. Then the additions of Demelo and DuMoulin solidifies the defense as one of the best in the league. Both Dumoulin and Demelo are elite defensively and are players that play effectively in key pressure moments. Notably, their additions makes the teams penalty killing units significantly better. With Graves, Letang, Dumoulin, Demelo, you now have four elite penalty killers on defense. EK65 is also a good defender despite what many say. Though he isn't one to win every puck battle, or block shots. He is still among the best at denying zone entries, and turning the puck in the right direction. Despite his age, he is still among the fastest skating defenders. The defense looks better than it ever has before in Crosby's entire career, and with EK65 now on this team, you can expect the offense to be extremely lethal for the next few seasons.

AZ passes - a AHL/7th D, a backup G (spent most of last year in AHL) and a unneeded 6th round isnt getting Veg

Not sure what you’ve been watching to think Pickering is nhl ready, much less think Dumo is still elite defensively. Injuries and age have caught up with him in a bad way and has been meh to below average the past two years. These trades are an absolute joke. Marcus Pettersson is miles better than Dumoulin in every aspect and Dickinson sucks. Why are you trading a 1st and top 4 elite defensive defenseman for him? This has to either be a bad troll or an alcohol induced post…cause yikes.

I'll disagree about Dickinson sucking but I will agree that this is an overpayment.

Obviously, you are not a Pens fan, if you were you would know that Pickering isn't even ready for the AHL, there is no reason to trade for Dumo after we parted ways, and don't trade our best dman and a first for some random 3c.

That Hawks trade is terrible for the Pens and makes them worse, one of the worst trades I've ever seen posted on here.

Dumolin isn't the dman he once was, that trade just adds yet another older guy and costs assets, theres a reason why Pittsburgh didn't sign him.

No chance Arizona does that.

The Jets might do that at the deadline but not any sooner.

Not right now, but...if the jets are out of the running come TDL and Demelo turns down an extension they should move him. Might get a little more for him to. a 2nd and a later pick or prospect as there would a bidding war. Demelo fits in with any team

I mean while it is coherent in the thought process the execution of the paragraph still signifies alcohol use with the amount of Grammatical and spelling errors littered throughout.

Sucks may be too harsh of a word. Maybe overpayment and an equal to what we already have in the bottom 6 would be a better description.

I know the Yotes make questionable moves more than anyone should, bit they aren't trading one of their best players for an AHL goalie, a 7th d-man, and a 6th rounder.

Can I get a puff of what you are smoking on........ Like every team besides ARI says yes (possibly WPG but could be a deadline type move). Also, EK65 makes the Pens a lot better than they were last year where they missed playoffs by 1 point. So again can I get a hit of whatever you smoking?

Pettersson is a good LHD, ESPECIALLY for his age. I don't know why PIT fans crap on him as much as they do. This is a massive overpayment for Dickinson, even with retention. One could argue that the 1st should be going the other way. Although, CHI isn't interested in LHD right now and wouldn't pay that much for him, anyway.
