Brannstrom to Nash doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

He's better on the right side, but we currently have 4RD we need to figure out. He could play the 3LD instead of Lauzon, but Lauzon and Schenn are our only real physical defensemen, which we kind of need. If another team was willing to pay a positive for Lauzon (unlikely at this point in the offseason), then maybe.

I’d prefer to just keep Trenin. Better player and can probably do better at the deadline if they choose to trade him then.

I'll humor the Jenner thing for a sec

Why does he want out exactly? Cause of Babcock? Who's gone.... Cause he's gotten some heat online for answering a question he was asked? Which has nothing to do with his relationship with the team... I'm not seeing the logic here.

i know norris is good but the jets certainly aren’t attaching a 1st to one of the best LW in the league. ottawas core is full of promise anyways, so im assuming this is just for fun

Boone isn't going to let Babcock being a headcase ruin his captaincy and taking over the all-time CBJ games played record. This is silly.

If Carrier is the odd man out of the lineup after training camp, I wouldn't be opposed to a Brännström-Carrier swap. I like Carrier more as a player, but if he doesn't have much of a future with the Preds at least NSH gets an RFA for their UFA.

AZ declines, dont need another 3rd for one but w/o bjug the Cs are 23 / 19 / 23 yo (and if geekie then becomes 4C he is 19yo) he is the vet needed plus they just resigned him

I think barrie and carrier/fabbro wont be on the team next year. Im definitely not opposed to trading for Brannstrom but Nashville will need to figure out the RHD situation to make it work

I think they'll have to trade for someone, unless Livingstone earns a permanent roster spot. I just took a look at the RDs who'll be under 30 and UFA next summer. After Pesce, the next best guy is - Alex Carrier.

be honest with yourself, do you really believe this is a fair trade with Montreal ? did you really think for one second Montreal will do such a trade ?

1. Both teams won't like it. I'm fine with Chabot/JBD

2. Term left for Connor is only 2 years. Jets would most likely trade him for futures but this would mean they'd probably then have to trade Norris too. They wouldn't want to spend picks too, going into a rebuild.

3. I don't know. Don't want to spend more 1st round picks. Team is fine as it is. Probably the only trade worth considering for the Sens

4. Brannstrom doesn't need to "fix his career" lol, it's trending in a really good direction. Trenin is good but 3 years older and not enough upside

5. Sens are not trading Ostapchuk, particularly not for Bjugstad. Ostapchuk has high value too so no chance Bjugstad returns even close to that

Why better player? Both seem high quality for the support role they play. Could Trenin play higher in the lineup? Because Brannstrom most likely could and he actually looked even better when Chabot was injured, playing 23+ minutes games

You really think it's that "lopsided"? Is it because of this?

Yeah but don't think it improved the rest of the season, maybe the opposite actually looking at metrics

As for Chabot rookie season (which was the Sens first rebuilding year) :

xGF/60 : 2.34
xGA/60 : 2.65
xGF% : 46.86

Guhle :

xGF/60 : 2.15
xGA/60 : 3.09
xGF% : 41.02
