Maybe I don’t watch enough islanders hockey, buuuuuut
JT miller is leading the league in points right now. Also Vancouver is trying to win now and probably wouldn’t trade one of the best players on the team and Ottawa and Colorado definitely are not retaining salary

Novak has an 800k cap hit and got 43 pts in 51 games last year and has 12 pts in 14 games this year.

Based on his cap hit, he could actually fetch a 1st round pick.

Laughably bad offer for Miller

Lee has one of the worst contracts in the league at this point. He has significant negative value

Avs don’t do that

Ottawa declines easily

Nashville declines easily

One of the most lopsided ACGMs I’ve seen in awhile

These are all awful. The Ottawa one and Nashville ones are some of the worst value on a (seemingly) serious post here ever. Also Calgary is not giving up an asset to add to their count of high-paid forwards who aren't producing

Genuinely this is horrible like when was the last time the nhl's leading point producer was dumped for a cap dump?

Miller is a cap dump Vancouver would be lucky to get out of that deal he is horrible in his own zone

No one is paying a 1st for Novak he's just been lucky so far he's an okay 4th c at best

How is it lopsided Vancouver is getting a 1st a great young player and a great young dman for a power play Marchant that doesn't play well in his own zone Avs need center depth and have to much defense Ottawa needs to clear capspace getting a 1sr back to do so is great

Ottawa needs to dump camp getting a 1st to do so is Great Nash getting a pick for a 4c is great value and Calgary need leaders and vets to help their team and to help Hub get good again that's fantastic value for them

Miller is the leading point scorer in the NHL. He would cost more than Horvat did, not a 2nd round pick, a meh winger, and an okay young dman. Keep trolling though

Sorry that the Canucks play past your bed time, but Miller could win the Selke this year. He plays all the tough matchups as a center and is a +10 on the year. You can offload all the garbage the islanders have, but it won't match that value sorry.

The 2nd would be a 1st in this senerico. 1st = 1st Whalstorm > Raty Bloduc > beauvilere so this package is better than the horvat package Miller is 3rd in scoring cause of Pettersson and Hughes Walsrom is better than meh

Wahlstrom is not more valuable than Raty. Miller also doesn’t play on a line with Pettersson. Even if you took away his PP points he’d be 1st on the Islanders in points

Could OP clarify why Sens need cap space? And need it so badly that they are trading away two good roster players and and an up and coming, young, cost controlled center?

Can't be for Pinto, cause in this deal, he's being shipped off. And even if he wasn't, he's gonna be really cheap now, so no worries there on his contract.

All of the core is signed up long term. No one's contract of importance is coming up next season. Sanderson's new contract is kicking in, but they already have the cap space for that.

Maybe OP can clarify?

No way the Avs do that. Firstly on value and secondly for cap reasons.

You’re nicer than I am.

OP has the Avs retaining for 4 years on the better and younger player and then adding picks to it. This is so stupid

I guess your 2024 first is of interest to Columbus since it’s definitely be top 10 and probably higher, but it’s not enough incentive to take your five million dollar cap dump and give up Laine.

You’ve already been beaten up enough over the rest so I will be kind.

You’re being nicer than me then. This kind of nonsense posts are pure troll bait because nobody does that trade, when seriously COL would just trade for Novak at that price.

Joseph at 1.475 AAV for 3 years? I mean, he's already a bargain at 2.95 AAV

I would NOT trade him for that package... so imagine adding Pinto and Kubalik at 50% retention lol

Quoting: Islandersaredabest
Ottawa needs to clear capspace getting a 1sr back to do so is great

You're not even doing that lol

Replacing the much better players in Joseph and Kubalik by Cizikas and Clutterbuck and ADD 1,525,000$ in the process

But not only that, Sens lose Pinto, the reason WHY they would need to clear cap space (which they won't need by the way)

This is ridiculous and all these proposals are extremely lopsided
