Why would the Hawks remotely consider that even if Phillips is removed? Phillips is a strong prospect and part of the future and on his own worth at least a 2nd rounder.

Mittlestadt is worth more than that package IMO

Brodie and a 1st is where I would consider it if I was Buffalo but, they don't really need another LD they need a RD for the top 4 and the pick would be great but, they already have a ton of prospects

Brodie is an upgrade on some of what Buffalo has on D but that's an abysmal return for Mitts.

Holy crap this one is stupid bad. The Hawks would never consider trading draft capital AND a young prospect with NHL experience that they're very high on for an expiring contract. Cellar teams aren't buyers at the TDL.

Yup, makes perfect sense for a rebuilding team like Chicago to trade a prospect and draft pick for a 97 year old defenseman with 10 points in his last 87 games.
