Kotkaniemi. Why is this a question. 3rd overall pick and a solid developing 2C vs. a 2nd round pick that had a great season in CHL but still completely unproven in NHL level.

Btw some of the above Leafs fans responses regarding this are hilarious.

Why? Can't handle the truth? Kotkaniemi is going down the bust route. I don't think he has that top 6 potential unlike what Robertson has.

Im no fan of either team but as Kotk actually played in last years playoffs and played well, I would go with him. In the future? I wouldn't know...so this is basically a waste of time to even talk about it. Each team will have its bias and fight about it. All you have to do is to look at stats. Kotk is better as of 11/17/2020.

Kotkaniemi can't even get placed above the Leafs 2nd round pick this season, why would he get placed above a top 25 prospect in the league in Robertson?

It means a lot for his development. If he wants to play in the NHL, he has to play well in the smaller leagues. He's not doing that

Oh come on, he's being loaned to his junior team as a covid loan. As the season in NHL unfolds he'll return to NHL. He's slot in the NHL is pretty much confirmed.
