Bold prediction: The stacked Calgary offense finally starts putting it together, Markstrom has a huge bounceback year, and the Flames finish 2nd in the division. It's the Oilers who finish in 3rd, just ahead of Vancouver and the Kraken, respectively.

Yeah the division is weak - i think Seattle is a much better team then Van/CGY. CGY has a solid F core but it’s because of their wingers, they have weak center core and they added a few liabilities on defense.

Monahan needs to start playing like a top 6 center for the offense to put it together. They have a great coach and I agree Markstrom has a bounce back season but their defense is awful so I don’t see them finishing higher than 4th.

If eichel gets traded I can see a lindros type situation develop. Super talented player, but big injury problems. I could see a team overpay for him and his injury keeps him from playing.

Oh damn I didn’t know that. If they didn’t let other teams look at his medical records they’d obviously be hesitant. A neck injury mean anything. Prolly means that Buffalo dropped their asking price cause of all the transparency

TBH i 'm not sure we want Eichel. He may not be the same player after surgery, and that asking price (four first round picks) is more than i'd feel comfortable giving up (for one player at least). Don't know about Jarmo though, maybe he can spin something good out of this.

Only gripe I have with TSNs list year is Rantanen, Stone and McAvoys placement. And Malkins inclusion. Rantanen and Stone > Pasta and Marner. Theodore could be higher as well and McAvoy should be a top 5 d-man along with Makar, Fox, Hedman and a 5th of your choice
