Why do you Leaf’s fans care so much about how long Spezza’s suspension is? You of all fans should know that the regular season doesn’t matter, and that Toronto will easily make the playoffs without him.

Plus it’s not like Spezza is playing for the money right now.


Don't get me wrong I'm not mad about the fact that spezza's missing time, he's a good player but we can handle six games without him.

Im p*ssed that the DoPS is handing out suspensions like this to guys with clean records, when Crosby/McDavid get off scott-free because they're holy. We all know if they did this they'd get two games MAX. Us missing our bottom six veteran really won't have a huge impact on our season. It's just that the DoPS and George Parros are horribly inconsistent and the refs from that game arent getting anything for letting the game get out of hand.

I'm sick of the DoPS and their inconsistency and I think majority is too. I just want consistency in player discipline, regardless of how good you are/how much you get paid.

thought Spezza would get 4-5 games, not going to stress over the 6th. Hell, for a 40 year old the extra rest and becoming even more of a cult hero for Leaf fans sticking up Sandin is all good for me.

But the bigger issue is how Brad Meier and his crew lost control of the game. They shouldn’t be refereeing games right now without a proper review of Sunday’s officiating performance but of course Brad was working last nights game in DET.

If the refs did there job we would be taking about an epic comeback or the Leafs failure to convert on the powerplays they should have had.

Again, 8 games of suspensions, not 1 penalty called.

I love the fact Zegras and Raymond - two rookies have LEGITIMATE chances to make the Olympic squads.

I know there’s still a chance the NHL may not go (fml if that happens) - and I know there’s not an easy path (some steep competition on both teams). But Zegras, Makar, Miro H, Raymond, on and on there’s so much talent upcoming on teams and then you have Ovi, McDavid, Sid, Hedman and so on.

I need the World Juniors and Olympic (Hockey) in my veins.
