  2. 2023 4th round pick (EDM)
3.
4.
NYI
  1. Byron, Paul
  2. Dvorak, Christian
  3. 2022 2nd round pick (MTL)
  4. 2022 3rd round pick (ANA)
5.
MTL
  1. Brännström, Erik [RFA Rights]
  2. Pinto, Shane
  3. Zub, Artem
  4. 2022 2nd round pick (TBL)
Additional Details:
the Ottawa Senators could use a player like Gallagher to help them along and get comfortable for when their chances of being more of a force in the NHL becomes more clear in the near future. He would fit in nicely in a middle-six role and provide goals, aggressive play, and leadership to a younger and more skilled team.
OTT
  1. Gallagher, Brendan
Additional Details:
For mtl i'm trying something remotely close the Pacioretty trade a leader and 30 goals scorer for a good prospect a establish nhl player and a 2nd round pick . Brännström is a bonus since ottawa is a divison rival and that he wants out I also think Gallagher has more value than Pacciorety
6.
MTL
  1. Forsling, Gustav
  2. Noel, Serron
  3. 2023 4th round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:
Florida still has plenty of wingers prospect and petry could be a good fit in their defensive core with Kale Clague coming to either replace or to add depth to their left side
FLA
  1. Clague, Kale
  2. Petry, Jeff
Additional Details:
Going into a rebuild Petry is a tough contract to keep and he still has a good value mtl acquires a risky potential wise prospect and an underated younger d-man
7.
MTL
  1. Oettinger, Jake [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
in this scenario Klinberg would finish in free agency and mtl would pick him up which means Dallas has a hole in their d-core Savard could be the replacement they have too many Goalie even if Oettinger is promising the 2nd round pick could make them accept this trade
DAL
  1. Savard, David
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
Savard coudl be a good trade bait Oettinger is a really promising nhl goalie and could really help MTL
8.
MTL
  1. Imama, Bokondji [RFA Rights]
  2. 2023 7th round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
Vejdemo still has more potential than Imama but Laval has too many players like Vejdemo but the roadrunners could add a player like Vejdemo
ARI
  1. Vejdemo, Lukas [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
pretty useless trade but Imama brings some toughness to that Laval team to replace Baddock and still has nhl potential he'll protect the kids in laval
9.
LAK
  1. Brännström, Erik
  2. Hoffman, Mike
  3. Niku, Sami
  4. 2023 3rd round pick (MTL)

jeez, these price trades keep getting worse and worse. Every single time a habs fan gets shot down for Newhook or Girard the price some how goes up for them. Now he's worth both? not in a million years. You want Girard that bad, give up something the avs want or need. Not a 34 year old goalie with one of the worst contracts in the league who hasnt even played this season

you ripped off every team in all the trades lol. quite unrealistic, right idea tho.

I really really like the idea of acquiring Oettinger if we move price! never seen that idea before!

Absolutely ridiculous overpayment by Ottawa for a guy whose best days are behind him. He's already put hard miles on his body, and I have no faith that he will be able to continue to play his game at a high level deep into his 30s. Really bad deal for Ottawa imo.

And the award for worse trade, and reasoning, goes to, envelope please...darthvinny1402, for his Gallagher to Ottawa trade idea

Ottawa isn't trading Pinto for Gallagher 1 for 1, and Ottawa isn't trading Zub for Gallagher 1 for 1, let alone both, and a 2nd, and tossing in Brannstrom just because...

So a 21yr 2C still on his elc, and a 24yr old top pairing dman locked up for half a decade on a team friendly deal, for a 34 yr old goalie that hasn’t played this year, and a 28 yr old 3rd liner. Yeah COL will pass again on being screwed.

No team wants Gallagher's contract. He was signed for too much money at too much term. His best years are behind him, he *WAS a 30 goal scorer 4-5 years ago but he's clearly no longer that player. He's a useful player but no where near what Patches is yet somehow you have Ottawa giving up more to get him than Vegas did to get Pacioretty...

As mentioned above by a couple people, Zub and Pinto wouldn't even go 1 for 1 with Gallagher and that massive contract.

Not even going to try to unpack the rest of these trades haha

I get what you're all saying, but how long do you want to play with fire and risk not going for it with MacKinnon's FA coming up?

MacK's FA will be covered by EJ's contract going. That trade is diabolical for the Avs. C'est diabolique if you need it in French.

Not saying that trade necessarily but see a lot of Avs fans disregarding almost any trade for Price. MTL is not selling off their future HOF goalie for nothing (especially after what him and his family have been through in the last little while). What do you think is fair value?

Nothing. He isn't a fit on the Avs. The Avs have Kuemper, Francouz, Johansson, Annunen. That will do nicely. The Avs can't afford him even if he went via another team for cap retention and he hasn't even played. Kuemper is fine as #1, Frankie should be back soon, JoJo and Justus have done fine.

The Ottawa deal is one of the most lopsided proposal I have ever seen on CF, quite the accomplishment

I'm scared to look at other proposals

Not complicated, there's absolutely no one in the whole Montreal organization I would give up Shane Pinto for... Nick Suzuki makes me hesitate but as we have Josh Norris, I want 20 y/o Pinto

And Artem Zub lol

Even if you remove Pinto and Zub, I'm not doing this UNLESS you retain 50% on Gallagher

Outside of Suzuki, is there really anyone in the whole Habs organization you'd give up Pinto or Zub for?

Caufield would give me pause. I think him and Pinto are similar, but Caufield's ceiling is higher. We need goal scoring, so that's about the only player I'd consider in the entire organization top-to-bottom outside of Suzuki.

What we need is players with high defensive IQ and that is what Pinto has and Caufield doesn't have.

Our problem is not scoring, it's keeping the puck out of our net and also defending less to be able to attack more.

That said, it's more complicated than that, it's a matter of coaching too

If Thomson and JBD were already bonafide top-2 and top-4 D-men, I'd consider trading Zub for Caufield but that's about it. Ghule too maybe but he's LD
