why do u think EDM-LA would be the worst?

Because I think Edmonton just wins it. Idk, not much faith in LA. Maybe 2 much faith in Edmonton?

I wonder if I should go watch a game.

After all they're playing the World championships right here.

Got tickets for the semifinals day with my m8's.
With our luck Finland is out by then grin

He isn't just a 2 time 50 goal scoring wizard, he is the best passer in the NHL according to the NHLPA

So, bit if a rant cause I’m still frustrated from last night.

Caps fans do not understand goaltending.

They simply don’t.

We have plenty of fans complaining about goaltending yet don’t understand at all how it works. We are some of the most spoiled fans when it comes to goalies, and it’s now showing in the majority of fans who blame every issue on goaltending. Some parts I get, like last night when people only blame Samsonov, as you needed to be in the arena to realize Orlov failed to properly communicate to Samsonov that he hand Cizikas were driving harder than expected.

However, many other points frustrate me. For example, this whole red herring of an argument about “he drops his stick too much”. This one really irks me because I can’t think of a time when the reason they score was because either goalie unnecessarily drops his stick. However (this especially goes for Samsonov), they freak and b***h about how a goalie dropped the stick even though the other option would have been giving up a goal.

I think what completely sums up the stupidity of some fans f**king blaming Samsonov for the loss last night. Not the awful D. Not the fact half the team forgot how to skate. Not the fact that almost every impact forward was invisible. They think Samsonov should see through every screen possible (“it’s our defenseman, he should see through him when he’s planted right in the line of sight”), that he should never play the puck, that him trying to get across quicker to make a save is stupid because “look guys he’s backward”, that he should never make an all out attempt to make a save and instead let a goal in because at least he didn’t drop his stick, that he should be a .930 sv% goalie or we should go get some old goalie that will be worse. And Vanecek is the same damn thing. I’ve had it with this stupidity, and it’s only going to continue as when the Capitals inevitably decline. This new wave of Caps fans has been incredibly spoiled, but few actually realize not every player can be Jesus and instead are incredibly Bipolar in bouncing between a player being good and bad every single game.

Edit: I’ll eventually put this in the caps forum where it belongs when I can make it a little less “man shouts at clouds”, even though it’s exactly how I feel.

The lazy way out is to just blame the goaltending

Today is the only day I will not cheer for the Yotes to win. It's more important for Vegas to not make the playoffs than to guarantee the Habs 1 OA

I would have Marner ahead of Draisaitl in passing as I remember Marner passing a puck to Bunting while tripping over someone and being mid air during the pass lul

Then you got that jebait pass he did in Seattle that

Like Marner is the Zach Bell of passing and McDavid is the textbook of passing 101

And so to me 1. McDavid, 2. Marner, 3. Kucherov, 4. Draisaitl, 5. Kane

I remember Drai doing a Backhand pass from the Zamboni doors that went straight to on rushing McDavid who did a cross crease pass to another Oiler (I can't remember who that other Oiler was atm) drai wasn't named the best passer in the league by the players for laughs. I also remember in 2021 when he had a 6 point night vs. Ottawa and all 6 points were assists.

Remember Marner passing while falling mid air.

And Bunting scored on that play. Nobody has made a pass like that in ages

This is Zach Bell levels of passing

How does Gaudreau and his 37 primary assists at 5on5 get left out here. 2nd is Kaprizov with 25

I'd just like to point something out, since Jan1. 2022. (Around when tuch joined the team) Tage Thompson is 39th in points per game. The next 4 players. JRob, Marchand, Lindholm, and Kadri. Playing less minutes than all 4 of them. Less Power Play points than all but Lindholm.

13th in 5v5 points per 60 minutes played. Behind Marner, Matthews, Fiala, Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Marchment, Tarasenko, Bunting, Thomas, Stamkos, Pastrnak, and Kucherov.

Skinner is 15th.

I’d take Kucherov and Stone over Marner for sure, and then there’s a good argument for Rantanen too but they’re close. I think he’s solidly passed Pastrnak at this point though.

Fair enough.

I was just about to say lol. Gaudreau is the king of creating high danger scoring chances. His playmaking ability is insane, his mitts are just as good as Kane’s, and his vision is unparalleled. I think he’s slept on because Monahan could only finish 1 in 3 tap-ins from the slot. Tkachuk and Lindholm are much more versatile and better finishers, so his elite passing is finally leading to the results it always should have.

I don't think it's fair to just go by that. Aren't these the same people that have given Seth Jones Norris votes?

20-21 season

GAR
Rantanen: 16.5
Marner: 14.2

Points per 60 min
Rantanen: 3.82
Marner : 3.26

<a href=Screen-Shot-2022-04-27-at-1-33-27-PMhanoi pho review">

Tossing in;

Rantanen is NOT carried by his line mates.

That guy is a monster who just happens to play with fellow stars:

Player polls are weird, like, who comes up with the list they have to choose from. Cause omitting Johnny from this makes no sense to me.

If we are going by stats, he is clearly one of the best 🤷‍♂️

Kucherov is the best winger in the league.

And he’s followed by Marchand and Marner.
(Rantanen is interchangeable with Marner imo)

Ain’t nothing otherwise can change my mind.
