I find it funny people think you magically gain cap space from trading for LTIR contracts

VGK with Patch would have Weber + Patrick + Lehner + Patch. That's 21m on LTIR


Teams have done it before

Like in the past 5 years at least 5 teams have used LTIR above 5mill

I will agree most (myself included) don't always understand it. But VGS is going to be just fine. They will need to make sure they are as close to the cap limit as possible to take advantage of this.

Except Patches would’ve been healthy partway throughout the year so it wouldn’t actually change much

This is what I think. The Isles don't have to "pay" anything to dump a $5 mil contract to be cap compliant with Kadri's pending deal. Move Varly to Vegas and he gets to be 1A again with 1 year remaining lines up for Vegas' timeline also.

Then the Isles and Sharks make a deal that involves a goalie going to Long Island (Reimer with retention?) to backup Sorokin. This might involve a couple forwards changing hands or future assets.

I don’t wish, if Zaitsev is in the deal, then Stutzle would have to be as well. There’s no other forward that would get Dobson.

Anyone in our top 6 is not being moved for Dobson and neither is Chabot or Sanderson. The most id offer personally would be Pinto + JBD/Thomson and a 1st . Stutzle is a laughable ask. I’d trade Stutzle for maybe 5-10 players in the league

that is incorrect - you're just biased. All im arguing is that the sens don't have anyone besides stutzle that would get the isles to consider moving Dobson. Your fanbase caused Dobson to start trending because you guys think its realistic to pry dobson from the isles for scraps.
