That's terrible. Can't believe his own parents would do him like that. Is there any updates on the case? Is he out of the debt now?

Not sure tbh. I only just remembered it happened. Hopefully he is, seeing how he was properly bankrupt and has now been in the NHL for a few more years.

These are the most recent articles I could find that mention it-and they both imply that he's (Thank God) in the clear:

When JJ signed long term with the kings his father immediately bought himself a brand new Ferrari, which at the time went for 225-250 k

I was strongly vocal against LAK taking Byfield ahead of Stutzle in 2020. The latter was as close to a sure thing as a top six player as you can get. The former had (still has) a very high ceiling, but was far more risky. I think LA lives and dies with this pick. No chance they trade him as long as current management is running things.

Stutzle or heck Drysdale or Sanderson would have been perfect for LA but they went you know what another C to go pls

I disagree. He was always seen as a project pick with crazy potential. Kings should've developed him better imo.
D+1 year: OHL
D+2 year: AHL
D+3 year: NHL

It's hard for him to develop given 12 minutes a night in the bottom 6

Kings should move Turcotte+picks for Chychurn. Turcotte is expendable

The one thing I have noticed is Kings and C's developing has been weird as Turcotte and Vilardi have been kind of disappointments to

As I said will need to wait and see but something has to give soon as LA is progressing faster than I think a lot of us expected.

They're both flawed, but JFresh's is much better than NHL's (Kadri isn't the 14th best C in the league, give me a break-and how in the actual heck did Roope Hintz not make EITHER of these lists?!).

Here's mine:
1) Connor McDavid
2) Leon Draisaitl (How on earth was he 4TH in both of those lists?)
3) Auston Matthews
4) Nathan MacKinnon
5) Sidney Crosby
6) Alexsander Barkov
7) Sebastian Aho
8) Mika Zibanejad
9) Patrice Bergeron
10) Steven Stamkos
11) Roope Hintz
12) J.T. Miller
13) Brayden Point
14) Elias Lindholm
15) Elias Pettersson
16) John Tavares
17) Ryan O'Reilly
18) Jack Hughes
19) Evgeni Malkin
20) Mathew Barzal

Hintz was 33rd in Jfresh list...

It's ridiculous how underrated/unappreciated he is. To give another example, Yahoo fantasy ranked him 128th for this coming year. 128TH!!!! (And, in case you're wondering, he finished somewhere between 44th-48th last year.)

I love the fact this is **** Sportsnet puts out when guys like: Jason Robertson, Noah Dobson, Sean Durzi, Nicolas Hague, Alexander Romanov, Michael Anderson, and Jake Oettinger all still RFA's unsigned.

Never forget, Leafs make the hockey world turn

Even if Leafs trade:
Sandin
Kerfoot
Another prospect
Picks for :

Chychrun.

They’re still like 3 mill over the cap. Tough to do here

I mean Sportsnet is Canada only lol. It’s not like they have a correspondent in Dallas checking up on their RFAs. There’s no use even trying to get any info on the Islanders, and the other guys aren’t very relevant and are in American markets too. Pretty much every team is down to just their final 1 or 2 RFAs.

The thing I dont get is how does Chycrun fit in the equation

Hes a natural LD like Sandin and we would just be back to square one and while Sandin is not as good as Chycrun he is younger and will come cheaper

I say management should stand its ground till someone gives as honestly when your asking for more than 2mill something be wrong

Very fair, but it is the National Hockey league. Just my opinion but Dallas not having Robertson and Oettinger locked up yet is more of a story than the Leafs 4th LD not resigned yet. But that's me, I get the Leafs make more clicks

I generally agree, but the Kadri saga is a major storyline that hockey fans all across North America care about. And despite living in the States, I prefer Sportsnet.com for their analysis and writing over NHL.com Kadri is a big time UFA, a former Leaf, and a lightning rod for media scrutiny. I want to stay on top of the latest developments. RFA's like DAL's are far less intriguing to me.
