If we want to make the playoffs we need to replace brown rn. Every game matters in this division. Honestly it isn’t the time to play the kids. Mikey can replace eller.
We need to fine another work horse. Sheary can’t do it all by himself. Who should it be

I wonder if Florida or Vancouver would be interested in a defenseman and would be willing to trade a forward to Calgary. Kylington or Zadorov would be available, probably looking at guys like Garland (seems to have fallen out of favour there) or like a Verhaeghe/Duclair type. As soon as Kylington is back I'd trade Zadorov for an injured Duclair tbh, and maybe even before then, I like Mackey a lot

Jake Bean is always available. He's quite a bit smaller than Nikita Zadorov but plays a somewhat consistent two-way game.


(at least SportsForecaster doesn't talk at length about his consistency being an issue)

The islanders new system is a lot of fun to watch. All the D are encouraged to join the rush when the opportunity presents itself, a lot of 3 + 4 on 2’s the first 3 games. Forwards are allowed to leave the defensive zone early to back the opposing D up - and the isles have the goaltending to save them at times when they get caught.

Players want a certain percentage of the cap.
If they want 10% lf the cap.
If the caps at 50million, he'll want 5 million
If the caps at 80 million, he'll want 8 million
It doesn't make a GMs job easier

Why would a cap increase save any GM's job lul

Its about performance and results not cap increases

Thats like saying if Ovie scores a playoff goal but Washington loses in round 1 would MacLellan job be safe
