If not for McCabe it would have been Muzzin.

I love Rasmus and hope he has success but he struggled hard against heavy forechecking teams, stopping the cycle, and moving the puck out of their own zone with possession.


In general Im excited to see what Dubas does with the pick as this man finds guys we go huh to then we go HOLY ****

Knies = 2nd round
Niemela = 3rd round
Grebenkin = 5th round
Tverberg = 7th round

etc

With such a nice deep draft for 2023 would not be surprised if he turns that 1st into a couple of picks and does his thing again

The caps turned Orlov demanding a 6-7 year deal into Sandin and a 2nd. Tidy piece of work by MacLellan.

That D isn't good enough to beat Tampa. Liljegren-Sandin were one of the best pairs in the NHL. Can't believe Dubas just did that. Could potentially cost him his job

None of those guys play in the NHL yet. They're all Leaf hype bias prospects

Damn, some big trades, Kane going to NYR for fairly cheap ( not sure what the conditions are that would make the 2nd into a 1st ), MoJo to Minny, Toronto going all in even more ( recouping assets )

Niemela has a shot next year two if not AHL for a season

Grebenkin as soon as his KHL deal is done probs will be over

Then u got guys like Steeves, McMann, Raifai, etc who Dubas signed as NCAA free agents and who look to be nice depth next year. So while not now they will be in time

As why rush prospects we dont want to ruin them

I’d replace Holl with Gus tbh, at least before the playoffs to experiment. 38 points this year and has been good in his own end as well

I'm not saying to rush them, but I don't see how we can call any of these picks good picks yet as they haven't even turned pro
