Edmonton doesn't do that trade, Ryan Graves isn't worth that contract

🥃.
I can't see Yzerman taking on 6 mil for a few years just to move up three spots, and gain a meh prospect+ a 5th.

No chance Detroit makes that move but Pickering has a chance to be a legit player

What's that come out to then - essentially Petry, Pickering, Smith, a 1st, 3rd, and 5th for Bouchard?

Bouchard is great but oof

At a position of excess for Detroit.

Red wings take this, not sure why people are dogging it. It's absolutely worth it

If that is what it would take for Bouchard Detroit just turns your offer down and beats your deal for him while equipping Edmonton with better pieces.

Haven't watched him much just a stat analysis. Doesn't work if he's a stay-at-home guy.

Fair enough, I believe he's a big bodied all-around guy. Seen him ranked fairly high in a few lists, haven't watched enough of his game to know

To move Petry you'll need more than a swap of picks and a prospect. Unfortunately, I don't think PIT has the ammo, and probably shouldn't use what they have. If they are trying to reload, use the 1st round pick to get an RFA player (Debrincat, Bratt, Maccelli, Vilardi are all options). If they want to rebuild, you trade no one and take your medicine.

Stealing Bouchard? I think you mean getting robbed blind for Bouchard. I wouldn’t call trading top 4 RHD Petry, a bottom pair LHD Smith, a 1st round pick Pickering, a 1st round pick, a 3rd round pick, and a 5th round pick for Bouchard. Then spending more cap for Bouchard.
