This pick feels like Caufield dropping 15th: way too much talent to be picked at mid round.

But teams still dont like picking small wingers... Benson will prove them wrong

After Arizona drafted Simashev, I thought I saw Briere take off his dress shoes, put on running shoes and sprint to the podium to draft Michkov.

Simashev was even surprised to be drafted 6th.

To be fair I'm quite certain Michkov wanted nothing to do with the Arizona Coyotes, and likely expressed that directly to them. It's even a possibility the Flyers were the first team Michkov gave the "okay" to. Either way I'm happy about it though lol..

I know it’s a surprise but look at Moritz Seider is 2019 went way earlier then what he was expected to go and look at him now a star in the league hopefully we can say the same about Simashev in the future

I know what you’re saying and agree but if it wasn’t for his size he never would have been available.

Still a very good signing and possibly a steal. (Hopefully) Chemistry with Savoie is an added bonus and hopefully interesting to watch soon.

I'm always amazed that people will vote no on every Sabres ELC signing. Size aside, the kids a puck hound who has no fear of driving the net and making plays. He'll be a welcome addition to the roster in a few years.

It's Every ELC one or two people vote no how is an ELC ever bad for either the player or team?
Last 10 ELC's 2 or more have voted no. Including Connor Bedard

Buffalo has size in their top 6 (Thompson, Tuch, cozens) , it doesn’t matter how small the player is -BPA is the way to go and benson should turn into a PPG star winger

Unless it's someone like Mitchell Miller, there's absolutely no reason to vote no, completely agree. Probably just jealousy over other teams prospects.
