No interest in Girard or MacDermid. Not enough for Murphy and Raddysh, anyway. But, I do think they'd be a good fit with COL.

Four years of an under sized D-man making $5m per season, no thanks I would sooner keep Murphy.

MacDermid doesn’t really bring any useful skills or value and a 1st for Raddysh and his value plus contract may end up being fair value but I would rather see the Hawks keep him and reassess closer to the TDL.

I doubt any team will trade for Raddish until that report is released...

I am amused at the idea that CHI is concerned with "solidifying their roster" right now, for a season where they're almost certainly going to come out with another top 5 pick.

I am pretty sure this is about "solidifying" the Avs roster.

I could maybe be talked into the framework of this deal, but I would need a little more on the Hawks end to pull the trigger this side of the TDL (hoping TRad builds on last season and his value gets into the stupid range we have seen for similar minimal salary fairly productive guys).

Counteroffer would be TRad + Murphy + Blackwell + the Hawks '26 2nd for Girard + MacDermid +'24 1st + '26 1st. So moving Blackwell as the Hawks have way to many bottom of the roster contracts which MacDermid only exasperates without someone moving out and flipping a likely high 2nd for a likely low 1st. Not a huge fan of Girard as a long term fit, but he should short term fill a need/role while we sort through a glut of LHD kids (most of which will in the end not be what we hope/wish) and especially while Korchinski marinates. Long term, when the cap rises significantly the next 2 Summers, Girard should be easy to move (whenever Korchinski convinces he will be THAT guy at the NHL level) as I can not imagine him not being very productive on the Hawks given the oppurtunities he will have. I'll confess I am not a big Murphy fan and look at moving him out as a sell high given he was pretty healthy this season was has not been a given.

The deal doesn't make much sense for either team really. It doesn't really fit the 'hawks rebuild and for the Avs it's not a good enough return. Murphy and Raddysh are decent pieces but Girard's value simply has to be in the same neck of the woods as Hronek's. 1st & 2nd. Especially with what Newhook netted. So that's basically giving 2 firsts, a second and MacDermid for Murphy and Raddysh. Murphy is ok and Raddysh MIGHT be REALLY good in time. Not sure they hold that kind of value though.

Did you see what Tampa gave up for Jeannot at the last TDL? TRad is virtually identical at the same point in their careers production wise and with a sub league minimum salary pending RFA. I am not saying Colorado should value TRad as a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and a former mid first (Foote), but I like the odds that TRad will be more productive than the 14 points Jeannot had through 56 games at the TDL when he netted that return. Hawks are not trading TRad before the season starts for anything short of an overpay and are not trading Murphy for less than a late 1st (or pair of 2nds at the least) or again an overpay. Murphy is a solid vet presense on the right side with Jones to help sort through the handful of LHD prospects the Hawks need to break in to the league this year and next.

Using the Jeannot trade that shocked multiple GMs around the league according to reports as a comparable is ludicrous, and as I said in the first sentence, the deal doesn't make much sense for either team.
