I don't hate it for either side. 2nd and 4th seems standard this deadline.

Depth, depth, depth and more depth. Should replace Kakko well on the 3rd line for a reasonable cost.

Glad we didn't have to trade any prospects or depth players. Glad we have him now! Don't think Drury is done yet.

Did SEA not see what Henrique just got?

Solid deal for the Rangers. I really like Wennberg, I think he is a sneakily good addition to fill in at 3C in Chytils absence. I'm very excited to see what he can do, this is some good depth for the Rangers

Shocked Seattle didn't get more but they didn't do poorly or anything. They made out pretty well. Fair trade all in all

I thought we would've had to give up a prospect like Sykora or Robertson. Good deal for both teams in my opinion.

Better than nothing for the NYR and I think Wennberg will be a great 3C but I would have matched the Edmonton offer and gotten Henrique if I was Drury.

Good trade for SEA too, that's a great return.

Fair deal.

Rangers win.

If Monahan and Henrique fetched 1sts, then Wennberg should too.

And Nils Lundkvist isn't reaching 55 points for Dallas.

The first center to go for less than a 1st this deadline. Solid addition for the bottom 6. Honestly, fair for both teams

Exactly who we wanted, exactly the ideal return.
Fair I think.

Time to see what we do for 1RW.

The pick being transferred to SEA is the same pick that DAL traded to NYR when DAL got Nils Lundqvist. The condition on that pick remains even when NYR trades it to SEA, so it could bump up to DAL's 3rd, but Nils would have to go on a pretty insane pace the rest of this year to hit that point total. Nils' currently at 31 regular season points for '23 and '24 so he'd need 24 more over then next 18 games. Not impossible, but highly unlikely to happen.

Kinda cool and answered my own question of awhile ago. What happens to a draft pick traded that already has a condition on it

that was the original condition on the pick when it was traded to the rangers so they pretty much just let seattle take the deal with the pick

Fair deal unless Nils Lundkvist puts up 24 points in the next 18 games, then Seattle wins.

That probably won't happen.

Kakko is not a center. AW was acquired to fill Chytl's spot as 3C.

This is garbage, Drury! We literally paid more for Wennberg, who’s been barely a startable player this year, than Panthers did for Tarasenko and Vegas did for Mantha! Yet you still have not started Belzile, who probably would do better than Wennberg for us…

Anyone who votes to say that the Rangers won this deal obviously doesn’t follow hockey enough!
