Might be the worst trade of the deadline. What is Boston doing? Peeke is in buyout territory and they actually gave up value for him.

Nice move for CBJ, Peeke is at best a #6, CBJ clears cap and gets a 3rd

Huh. horrible. Adding on so much cap space for a player they may just buyout. Plus giving up a 3rd? The heck you doing boston?

Somehow this trade is even worse than that selection......

Seravelli literally said yesterday that Peeke was a buyout candidate for the summer. And we sold him for a 3rd????? This is the largest W of the trade deadline for a selling team. Great move by interim GM John Davidson. Love you JD

I argued all season long with CLB fans that Harris would be a good fit for their team. Imagine getting Zboril instead lol.

Normally you have to pay to get rid of a contract that is this bad. What the hell was Boston thinking?

AND THERE'S TWO MORE YEARS ON THIS CONTRACT!?

Peeke is not very good, has salary and term and the Bruins gave up both a pick and a depth piece? I get that they're hoping for a bounceback after a change of scenery but yikes.

He’s going to play in Boston. A defensive system blueprint. He will be fine. Boston just punched their ticket to SCF

I get he's going to play in Boston, but that doesn't change the fact he has negative value right now.

Boston could have a league min guy play fine for them.....instead they gave up a depth piece and a pick for a buyout candidate on one of the worst teams in the league.

I like Andrew Peeke, but this season has been a disaster for him and he hasn't recovered.

Under no circumstances should any team be paying a 3rd round pick for him.

Columbus wins.

I agree, I think he can flourish in Boston's system. Still makes it an overpay since we have been trying to get rid of him all year.

Added 3rd sways this in the Jackets favor... picking him up for nothing even with his salary I was fine with, even after poor years I have faith in the Bruins coaching to turn him around. Does make the offseason more interesting though, wonder if the B's consider him a replacement so they can trade Carlo, who is more than fine but a concussion away from never playing again.

I believe Peeke will rebound, but BOS didn’t need to pay this much considering CLB should just be happy to have him off the books

This makes exactly zero sense for Boston. I like Peeke more than most, but that contract is horrendous at the moment and there isnt really anyone Peeke should be replacing on that stacked Bruins blue line. I dont understand at all

OH MY GOD THEY ADDED A 3RD?!

I was so wrong about Peeke being a FC/buyout candidate apparently. Absolute W for Columbus. I'm sure Peeke will be fine in Boston (he has some tools and Montgomery is an incredible coach), but this is an absolute overpay.

I thought it was already a good trade for CBJ without the pick, but the pick makes it a very lopsided deal. Sure it's 3 years from now but that opens up a lot for the future.

Don't hate the trade honestly. Zboril has no future with Boston and the 3rd isn't until 2027. 3rd rounder has about a 27% chance of play at least 100 games. If he doesn't work out then you can just buy him out.
