There is no trade deadline. There's a deadline to submit reserve lists for playoff eligibility.
That's a mouthful though, so we call it a trade deadline.

I don't necessarily disagree, but you're going to be very disappointed with free agents, turns out they actually cost money.

I thought Legare might have NHL potential, but he's been a tire fire this year. Can't defend and provides 0 offense. Don't think Arnaud provides much offense, but his defensive game should help Laval make a push. He's also a former Moosehead so LG!!

AHL Trade Deadline isn't until friday. Both players can't play in the NHL this year, but neither have a legit shot anyways.

You'll see a few more, likely AHL players on NHL contracts for FC

If it was illegal the NHL would have disallowed it. Teams can’t just make a trade without going to the NHL first. It’s a process.

The league is investigating the NJ Devils for circumventing the trade deadline. Likely will lose a first round pick in one of the next three years.
No penalties against the Montreal Canadiens.
