This trade honestly creates more issues then it solves for Columbus.... we’d add a top like wing, but we’d need to get a 2nd line center to replace Domi and a top RHD to replace Jones, neither of which we have.

One day people will realize the absolute colossal albatross of a contract that Marner deal was. In a normal cap environment where it was going up 5% a year or more, i think it would have ultimately been palatable, but it has likely ruined the leafs window. They will need to retain and move him.
