Description

Danault wants more than 5 million a year. No thanks. ELC contracts coming off the books in the next 2 years. Don't need a Canucks situation. Don't overpay a 2nd line centre.
Schneider is a stay at home Dman with little upside but Bergevin loves those and they need a prospect RHD with so much on the left. Lundkvist and Jones are ahead of Schneider on prospect depth chart. Schneider is expendable. This solves mtl cap woes and gives the Rags that top 6 centre for years to come!
Rags have flexibility with picks. This draft is weak. Danault is a 1st rounder that has worked out. You need to give more than a 1st in this draft

Schneider has tremendous upside! Maybe not to those who play fantasy hockey. But in the real world GM's know that Schneider has tremendous upside regardless of how many points he puts up.

lol he's a B prospect and a huge reach at 19th overall! Sanderson at 5 was meh. Defensemen other than Drysdale aren't impactful from 2020 draft and that was shared by all the prospect gurus

Schneider is most certainly an A level prospect. In spite of what certain "gurus" think, Schneider was the best Defenseman for team Canada at the WJC just a few months ago. Ahead of Drysdale.

Schneider was on the top D-pair and had the most ice time. He was solid in every aspect of the game, including offense.

If Danualt comes extended for 5 years with that retention so we only pay him 3.5M each year then this is an accurate trade. Otherwise there .01% chance this trade happens as it’s not realistic.

yeah of course drysdale and byram are better they were taken top 10 so they were expected to be schneider still has top 4 potential

I wouldn’t look too much into Haula being scratched last night — nearly every forward besides the top line has been scratched at some point so far this season

I don't disagree...I think he'll be a fine 2nd pairing guy. I also wouldn't make this trade if I were the Rangers. Danault isn't what this team needs.

yea exactly. He's not a 2C. (it would be peanuts to pay 5M compared to Toronto's 2C though, right?)

A) I agree Danault isn't worth more than $5M. I'd offer him more term if he wants, but that's it. Forget about any serious no-trade protection.
B) I wouldn't trade Danault if he remains a potential UFA going to the trade deadline. We might be able to contend and Danault is a big part of it.

What are you, a, nevermind, I just read your user name.

Braden Schneider was rated 17th overall on Bob MacKenzie's consolidated professional scouts ranking list, which means he was ranked 17th on average by professional scouts, which mean, 19th wasn't a reach on Braden Schneider, and it certainly wasn't a huge reach. This is what we call rhetoric, it's an attempt to make a point without being able to quantify it.

Your opinion is worthless, it's biased and you are probably just trolling. Get a life, and welcome to ignore
