I think that's slightly misleading. At least 10 of his 15 games was with Palat and Point last season (2 defensively responsible forwards). He more-or-less looked like a passenger on their line most of the time. His offense should eventually be what he's known for.


The model does account for teammates and competition, but it is hard to show anything definitive in such a small sample size.

What was the point of Buffalo claiming AJF on waivers just to waive him less than a week later

The only thing that’ll surprise me more then everyone clearing waivers from yesterday is if somehow NO ONE claims ABB from TBL. That’s a easy claim imo.

Tbh they should waive Aho and bellows. Trotz doesn’t really care to use them anyways , what’s the point of burying them.

In general I suspect almost everyone who will be waived by tampa probs gets claimed

So ABB is claimed for sure, Washington should claim back Fjallby and they can send him to the minors for free after ( claim back rule ), Stenlund ( CBJ ), Wagner ( LA ) i could also see get claimed

AXEL Jonsson is only signed for 2 though thats who Buffalo claimed a week ago

Still has potential though

Florida is too low on the waiver order to be able to get Juolevi, i'm surprised a team like Montreal didn't trade for ABB since we'd want him, but he won't fall to us

Canes have waived/sent down/cut these players:

Forwards
Ryan Suzuki (just don't think he proved enough and wasn't ready yet)
Josh Leivo (Solid but we simply have guys more worthy)
Stefan Noesen (Great energy guy that we could've kept but I guess this was the sacrifice to keep Jarvis and Drury up)
CJ Smith (Gritty player that I wish we kept as an extra based off his preseason performance)

Defense
Joey Keane (Good youngster showing flashes of readiness but I guess Smith just outperformed him)
Maxime Lajoie (Good youngster like Keane, but just got held back by our depth)
Eric Gelinas (He had a lot of opportunity but just didn't stand out to me at all and didn't quite look like an NHL guy)

Goalie
Alex Lyon (The bench boss. He was a great door opener and had a nice loaf that I could see from my 6th row seat that I stole because it was empty. Such a shame we had to let him go. Raanta could never match his great skills on the bench)

@Bobcat205 opinion on CBJ's initial roster? I'm kinda surprised Sillinger made it over Foudy/Stenlund but it could just be a tryout and they'll send him down before his contract is no longer slide eligible
