At least Brett Connolly didn’t make the team would’ve been better if Stan traded him before the preseason but it’s something

Ottawa, Buffalo, Detroit, Vancouver , Arizona , Chicago ,Edmonton should all put in a claim. I think he’s a lock to be a solid middle 6 guy and his contract is great

William Eklund pisses me off.

Not many people may follow Sharks preseason (can’t blame yah) - but Eklund is currently my front runner for the Calder tbh. And I hate it. I do not want Eklund to get hurt, I pray he survives. He is so small it is obvious when he’s on the ice. He’s slight in frame but he’s so gifted, Couture used the Patrick Kane comparison. Just a guy who never puts himself in a terrible position and knows how to evade defenders while also putting himself in good positions. But I wish he was able to put on size before a full 82game season. However if Eklund does end up burning his 10 games elc/ 25 game rookie; I think he has a easy shot at a Calder nom. The kid plays like a tenured pro; which is why I wish he was able to put on size 🥲🥲🥲 because this kids legit.



OH AND ALSO I HOPE SILLINGER POPS OFF FOR CBJ. That kids so sick. I’ve said it 8 million times; he and Eklund are the steals of the draft imo. And coincidentally they’re both the only 2021 rookies for this year playing.

I think that's slightly misleading. At least 10 of his 15 games was with Palat and Point last season (2 defensively responsible forwards). He more-or-less looked like a passenger on their line most of the time. His offense should eventually be what he's known for.
