Maybe the 2024 1st could be dropped to a 2nd and some protection is put on the 2023 1st. I think Calgary would want both Greig+JBD as the prospects though, like I’ve been saying they need to get a C and a RD prospect if Tkachuk+Tanev are shipped out. I do think JBD+1st would be the minimum price for Tanev though. Chiarot fetched a 1st+ for one playoff run, 2 years of a defensive defenseman that shoots right and is actually good would fetch more.

Per sources Lou is interested in Tkachuk. His only untouchables are Ross Johnston , Cal clutterbuck and JG Pageau.

My sources also tell me Lou will “deal” with the extension after acquisition to ensure he has the asset.

Reportedly offering 4m x 14 years (56mil) (we tried to tell him about the limit but it is what it is).

His justification for the AAV was that he doesn’t hit as hard as Komarov.

Tkachuk has “more to learn” in the words of the great Lou Lamoriello. Will get higher AAV when he turns 35

was looking forward to the fLames falling apart in the offseason and so far I'm not disappointed and it makes it even better that the Oilers are having a relatively decent offseason

I have a feeling the tkchuk trade will be a lot less than we think. Like the eichael trade was way less than anyone said or thought

I bet it'll be like be like Kyrou, Neighbors, Scandella and a 1st for Tkachuk. STL will have one of the best top F cores in the league but their defense is mediocre at best.
