He's a great player but it's like they want three to four 1sts/equivalent or it's no deal.

Just 2 notes from Habs perspective.

1. Habs don't have cap issues, although I do agree Hoffman is overpaid and should be on the list.

2. There is no news on Price either way so he could still be injured but there are also exceptions that he will start the season.

I think a lot of players on here aren’t overvalued by capfriendly users who have been here a while. Too many trolls and new people to the site that have no clue what they’re doing make it seem that way.

Also, I think Gus Nyquist belongs in the RD slot.

They are up against the ceiling but have 3.4 mil min and potentially 13.9 mil going on LTIR depending on Price's health. Also Drouin, Dadonov and Allen are also expiring so next years cap is even better. We only have Dach to sign after Byron goes on LTIR so we aren't cap strapped.

Edit*** also finishing dead last has nothing at all to do with being cap strapped. The cap is tied to league revenue not standings so I do not get the point of pointing out the finishing order last season.
