5th most secondary assists in the league and wasn't very impressive analytically. Also it's paying him 8 Million until he's 37 coming off of 1 elite season.
PP and Secondary Assist specialist. JFresh is lighting him up on Twitter on why this contract is Yikes.
add in his poor defensively play, yeah its not a contract that the canucks should have been handing out, especially considering they have little cap space next year to fill out their roster, extend Horvat while Pettterson extension looms.

doesn't matter, he's a team player, character guy and the best player on the roster. even if he's "only" a point per game player it's a value contract. anything more is a bargain.
better than Huberdeau for 2.5 more and an extra year, or Kadri at 7 for 7, 3 years older.
Miller has improved every year with VAN since arriving and I see no reason why he should regress, the team hasn't gotten much better but it hasn't gotten worse. Kadri and Huberdeau are both on a worse team than last year.

still room for Horvat, Pettersson extension due when Myers is off the books, so extra money there, and the cap going up that year too makes it easy to re-sign EP40

its the filling out the roster part that you are glossing over. Right not its 14m in cap room with 14 guys signed....Horvat is going to take up Half of that to keep. Then you are filling out the rest especially the D core with Scrubs on cheap deals.
Really isnt a path to improving the roster. The cap space that miller is taking up probably was better suited elsewhere
Kuz won't be a top 6 player. He'll be lucky to crack the 3rd line. I don't see him as anything special, but you never know I guess. He can be a wildcard. You do bring a good point with Mikheyev, that will be an improvement, but I still don't think it gets them over the hump as a pretender. They MIGHT be able to sneak into the playoffs, but a lot of injuries would have to happen for Multiple teams and Demko would somehow have to play even better than he did last year.
To say that Kuzmenko won't be able to crack the top six really amplifies the spite in your voice
Guess I'm high on Anaheim then? They added two legit impact players and have a young core that's only going to get better. Don't see why they would collapse like that
Anaheim still isn't good enough to make the playoffs
Would be a solid contract for a team in their prime that's competing for cups (Colorado, Tampa ETC), but I don't see Vancouver as being anywhere near that, so I voted "No".
Adding Mikheyev replaces the void left by Toffoli. Lazar’s a plus. They just need another Dman.
Should have traded him last TDL for a haul like what Jfresh suggested
This is exactly the kind of player a team like the Canucks should cash out on and trade for a big return. A great player but with inflated value and due for a contract, well, like this.
