I’d be willing to say that the Flyers would be better than the markets think they will be…embarrassing is a quite strong word here.

Funny you made this cause I was thinking about solutions for the team and what they need.
Im a jets fan and Ive always been a fan of Konecny. Would deal for him involving Dillon work? that's if they didnt lean into the rebuild (which i dont think they are).
who would need to add? just thinking out loud here

Boston is already over the cap and set at RW top 9.

However if that’s the price they say thank you and flip him for better return.

I'd be shocked if a team gave you two seconds for Rasmus Ristolainen. It certainly won't be Anaheim.

Anaheim wouldn't take risto if you paid them those picks.

What Jared said+Ducks aren't likely to be buyers+RD is already set with Drysdale/Shatty/Klingberg, two of whom will likely be shopped leading up to the deadline.

The Blues will give you a 23 1st+ to swap Leddy for Sanheim, no retention required. Hell, we may even retain a million for ya.

I would rather have Engvall than Laughton and you want more than him? That's a gross overpay.

Philly seems to be tanking without even trying. Sorry no teams are going you just picks for because they don't have cap either.
Torts.....I don't think he should have been hired as coach. But he will be entertaining at the press conferences. Torts loves the rebuild as he can now blame every loss on inexperienced players or bad decisions by management to give him non NHLers on the roster. Torts blamed others (the players) for not working hard enough when his teams were unsuccessful. Never his fault.

Where does he even fit? No issue with value (Boston is robbing Philly here), but I’m just not seeing where he slots in the lineup

trade, smith play him 3RW and have a dominant 3rd line with zacha-coyle-konecny

can also be 1st line LW/RW until marchand is back

Kind of like smith in a third line role more than konecny.

he is better in terms of 2 way capabilities and being a solid hustler who fights hard in the dirty zones.

but bruins kind of develop all their forwards that way.

marchand, coyle, bergeron, hall, debrusk, frederic, foligno, nosek all those guys have that 2 way game and are good at winning puck battles.

personally i think B's forward core needs more skilled guys that have more flash. that is why i was so happy about the zacha trade as he brings more skill and flash then haula did.

B's system has always made below average defensive forwards look better then they actually are as B's always have had a strong team defensive system. All thanks to julien when he brought the zone defence to boston and they continued to just build upon his work, so i don't think konecny would struggle to much

Caps accept, but I think you may be undervaluing Sanheim here. I'd think he could pull at least a 1st, especially with retention.

They don’t develop guys that way, they get guys that are that way.

Btw they aren’t running julien’s system this year.

I was wary about putting in 1st rounders in trades here. Because it's Bedard 2023.

yes they are monty like 2 press conferences ago said he was going to continue running the zone system that julien built, and cassidy continued to adjust. Obviously he said he will make his only little tweaks but for the most part it is still gonna be very similiar to the way Julien and Cassidy ran our defence. the offence on the other hand is where things are changing big time, Monty likes to have his dmen more involved in the offence

We'll consider taking back JvR if and only if we're getting back your 1st this year. There's too many forwards here as is. And no, Robinson is not an available target; he grew up with Gaudreau and they're good friends.
