Good cheap deal for a young top 6, playing top 4 minutes and having the potential long term to play top 4, top 6 for sure.

I do think that Timmins is better overall, but I do get that Harris is younger, so it sorta makes sense that Harris gets more.

Disagree that Timmins is better. Timmins is better offensively, but Harris is better anywhere else and he's younger.

You get paid so much faster as a former NCAA player

His first contract was only 2 years

MTL burned his first year by playing him 10 games. It was probably a requirement for Harris to sign with MTL, otherwise he would have been a UFA (another HUGE advantage to former NCAA players)

In short, push your kids to choose NCAA

Savard is awful. Give him a decent teammate and he'd be fine. Don't think he can hold it by himself though

You talk like if his developpment was over at 22y.o. after half a season in the league....

Read the 1st line. This is a projection in many years.

Read the last line. The point obviously wasn't the TOI/pairing, but just the prospect depth. This is why I didnt include Matheson.

If you looked at the two OTT-MTL games, everything was on Arber, not David
People try to blame Savard for Guhle poor WAR but Savard is better than 2022-23 Joel Edmundson
Savard isn't bad, he's just fat and slow

When you call a defensemen a top 6 ... are you saying that he's on the team?

Because only 6 defensemen get to play each game.

Like is Pitlick a top 12 forward?

Different meaning. Saying top 6 forward means they can play anywhere in the top 6. Saying top 6 defender means they're a 3rd pairing defender.
